Finding a new soap is not on the top of our lists, most of the time we just look for a familiar brand or for what is on sale. Next time you are looking for a replacement for your hand soap, read the label. Triclosan is a chemical used in soaps and sanitizers that seems to be raising a few eyebrows. Either way, none of us like to use chemicals if we don't have to, and now you don't. Shop for these online here!
Clean Well is a company that makes hand soaps and sanitizers using ingenium--an all new green technology that kills 99.9% of all bacteria including staph, E.Coli, and salmonella. Made with plant matters, Clean Well is 100% poison free, biodegradable, 100% green, safe for kids--no ingestion risk and is not tested on animals. I personally love this soap and they have a spray sanitizer that I can put in my purse--alcohol free!
We carry the spray and the lavender and orange scents.

Our first location was next door to Cappy's and we grew to love Scooter and the staff there as well as the awesome pizza. It didn't hurt that they were next door, but trust me they have the best pizza and beer selection in the Heights. Last night though, I unloaded my sack of takeout food to find an amazing development. My styrofoam standby was replaced with something that felt a lot like cardboard! On closer inspection, I found it was named "Eco-Tainer" and attested to be made from sugar cane. Sugar cane or actually the left over parts of it are waste materials from the harvest that have recently been introduced as a compostable foam alternative. Coincidentally, I had been looking at this material the week before for an alternative to styrofoam coffee cups. Thanks Cappy's, I hope this will inspire the rest of our neighbors! Now if I could only get Nicko's to use them...
